I got to work this morning and got the news that the vet was coming to induce labor for Bessie.  We were told that it usually takes 30 hours from the time he induces which puts delivery sometime Thursday evening.  Around 3pm the vet arrived.  He decided to go ahead and deliver the calf.  Within a very few minutes he had the chains on the calf and at 3:37pm, a beautiful Charolais bull calf hit the ground.  Obviously, he wasn't biologically Bessie's calf, he was the result of an implanted embryo.
